In the last season of Magnum P.I., I got to play the role of Madame Evanora in the episode titled, 'Whispers of Death.'

Industry vernacular

I got what is called a 'Guest Star' credit. That means my name was by itself at the beginning of the show. That credit is called Single Card Billing at the front. That is different than a Co-Star, which is sometimes called a 'One-Liner.' A Guest Star gets more than SAG scale.

Welcome  to The Sunday Salon at The Actors' Hideaway

This will be an ongoing Sunday gathering of actors learning the true tools of Stanislavski's System now known as The Method. This will be held by an ex-casting director for major motion pictures and television who has worked for legendary directors.

Every Sunday from 1PM to 4PM/$50

The only thing you will need to bring is proof of vaccination

A one-hour Zoom session at $40 through PayPal will help you decide if you want to join the experience of doing 'the work' in an atmosphere of comfort, freedom and joy in the art of acting. There is snackage, wine and Perrier. There is respect for the art in a family of artists as The Muse conducts exercises, monologues, and scenes using the purist adaptation of The Method for film.

Email me on the 'Contact' page to set up your Zoom intro session.

I'M JUST LIKE YOU - I'M AN ACTOR TOO.  LOOK BELOW FOR MORE ON THAT....

Here I am (second from left) in this great 'short.' A wonderful, hysterical, ensemble piece that has been accepted and (in some cases) honored in several, film festivals all over the country.

Sometimes you end up on the cutting- room floor. I played Grandma Stangle in this movie. The whole subplot of the Stangle family was basically cut from the film. I look like an extra in it. Ah, the life of an actor.

When in doubt, get yourself up off the couch, and do something fun! Here I am (second from right) in the lineup at The Blue Note. I can't help it. It's a compulsion. You need a good coach to get away with this. You don't want to bomb by thinking you can do it because you are funny. When you don't study how to do it? Crickets.

Things are always changing in the business. These days, headshots are in color. Below this one is a black-and-white from years ago...and the one on the right done before my hair turned gray.

Here's one of my latest headshots. Others are also on this site. Find a good photographer. These new ones were taken by Kathleen Harrison in San Anselmo (2022)

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE PICTURES. MAKE SURE THEY ARE GOOD. AND FOR GOD'S SAKE, MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE YOU.

This headshot got me a motion picture and a Hallmark movie.

This black-and-white pic got me

two national commercials and a

'Judging Amy' Co-star role.
