Think like the legends think.  Do what the        camera loves.  Present yourself to the world in a way that matters.  Don't put your career in my hands.  Just let me help you do what      makes you happy...act, be great at it, and        show those who matter.

I have moved to San Jose, CA!         So glad to be back on the   mainland again. This place is                       beautiful.

HERE I AM PERFORMING AT THE SAN JOSE IMPROV!!

Shadow on Concrete Wall

These days of working from home, viewing videos, and holding workshops and classes on Zoom are working very well for my coaching actors in one-on-one sessions in my teaching of 'Method For Film and Standup comedy.'

I could be anywhere...Italy, Paris, London, or even California. Wait a minute. I am in California, San Jose to be exact.

In 2012, my sister and I made the move to Paradise. There was a tribe of good actors there. I found them, and they found me until I founded the 'Sunday Salon,' which became a source for learning The Method with other like-souls who relished the artistic act of creation in joy. My actors don't act in fear. They act in joy.

Since the pandemic hit our world, classes were cancelled, and people stopped hugging each other. It was a necessary transition so that we could save ourselves.

I had to adjust...

My first flyer in Hawaii. I used ZOOM

Sally Jackson was born and raised in West Texas. She attended four colleges: The University of Kansas, Southwest Texas State, The University of Texas and Trinity University. She majored in Art and English, respectively. Miss Jackson moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico after a fourth year in college, and began a career in theater as a stage manager. It was there that she met with Godfrey Reggio of 'The Institute For Regional Education,' and became a member of the crew on the highly regarded documentary film, Koyannisquattsi. Her love for filmmaking was sparked by this experience.

As major motion pictures cycled heavily into the state of New Mexico, Miss Jackson worked productions as 'Extras Casting Director,' and then principal casting for many legendary directors (see filmography). She recognized the extraordinary talent pool in the state, and began lobbying LA casting directors to view tapes of local actors for roles formerly cast from the Los Angeles area. After a few years of being instrumental in casting SAG roles on many big budget, major motion pictures, she requested a new 'credit' as 'Location Casting Director,' and thereby coined the same credit phrase.

Between casting films, Miss Jackson studied acting with legendary coach, Lawrence Parke, owner/writer of 'Acting World Books,' and fondly remembered in Los Angeles as 'The Star Maker.'

After moving to Los Angeles, Miss Jackson was on hold as 'Location Casting Director' for Cruise/Wagner, coached the young, Hollywood elite for major films and pilot leads, and read scripts for one of the most respected producers in the business. While living in Hollywood, she taught 'Advanced Film Acting' for two years at 'The Theatre of Arts,' the longest existing acting school there. And, she performed regularly as a stand-up comedienne at The Improv, The Comedy Store,The Ha Ha, The Ice House in Pasadena and The Acme Theater. Her acting resume can be found on IMDB as well as her list of credits for casting.

In 2007, Sally Jackson moved to Austin, Texas to take care of her aging mother. She was represented as a SAG actor by The Actor's Clearing House, and continued to coach actors.  She played roles in several indie films in Austin as she performed her stand-up, and hosted shows at the Velveeta Room on 6th Street, and wrote on a comedy blog with her sister, Kelly.

Kelly & Sally Jackson branded themselves 'The Midlife Gals,' and wrote a weekly column for More.com, a magazine targeted for women over forty (More Magazine). They began making zany videos for their site, themidlifegals.com, and writing their acclaimed and hilarious blog.

The Midlife Gals' ode to The Big Lebowski was shown at the SouthBySouthwest Film Festival. Their pitch-package for their sitcom: The Midlife Gals/Necessary Insanity, is being considered by numerous cable channels.

After moving to Hawaii, the Midlife Gals got into a movie as soon as we could...
